·        Fiber Content: Bath rugs predominantly contain 100% cotton fibers, with 100% nylon being the next most popular choice. Other fiber options include cotton/nylon or cotton/rayon blends.
o       Cotton – This fiber makes a good choice for a bath rug because it is soft, absorbent, and wears well. Organic cotton is also available for natural product consumers.
o       Nylon – Nylon is chosen for soil resistance and ease of cleaning and also wears well.
o       Blends – Blends are used by a manufacturer because they believe the combination of fibers will lead to a better overall performance value.

·        Weaves and finishes: There are about as many pile options for bath rugs as there are for wall-to-wall carpeting. Depending upon your style, you can purchase a bath rug with a high shag-type pile, funky chenille finishes, or a more tailored, conservative construction.

·        Bath Rug Design Options: Colors for bath rugs are about as varied as a box of Crayola crayons. You can find bath rugs in colors as unique as mesquite, linen, lapis, and spa. If these words mean nothing to you in terms of color, you can also find them in the traditional colors of white, red, and yellow. If you can imagine it, it is probably available.

In addition to solid colors, bath mats come in a variety of design options including, but not limited to floral and toile, stripes, polka-dots, kiddie prints, ethnic designs, and much more. With a little creative searching, you can probably find just about anything you have in mind.
