Something to consider when washing your bath rug in your washing machine is that the heavier the rug, the harder it will be for your machine to handle it appropriately. Unless you have an industrial sized washing machine, your bath rug will probably cause an unbalanced load to occur. This can be remedied by always washing your rug as a full load with several towels included to help balance the load.
