Fantasy baseball is the second most popular fantasy sport among Americans, trailing only football. Fantasy baseball was the first of the fantasy sports, beginning a number of years ago with the title “rotisserie baseball.” It was named this because the men who invented it did so around a table at a rotisserie restaurant in New York City. Fantasy baseball is a multi-million dollar industry, and it has experienced growth every year since its inception. It is the fantasy sport which requires the most involvement on the part of the fantasy owner because of the length of the season. Major League Baseball teams play a 162 game schedule, beginning in early April and running through October.
