Education is free and required for all children for all children between the ages of 5 and 16. There is a primary and a secondary school in Stanley as well as three small settlement schools on large farms. Other students located in camp are taught by one of a team of six traveling teachers whose visits are supported by radio and telephone lessons. Schools are well equipped and resourced well.
Older children located in camp board at Stanley House Hostel which can board up to 65 students between the ages of 9 and 16. There are boarding fees. Students who make the requirements are funded for A-level studies and further education in the UK. A-levels are generally taken at Peter Symonds College in Winchester while vocational qualifications are taken at Chichester College.
