New Island

New Island is the most southwesterly island of the Falklands. It is about 8 miles long and ½ mile wide. It is a hilly, windswept island covered with high brown grass and peat bogs. New Island does not have any native trees but it does have some shrubs and bushes. Here you will see ducks, geese, and rabbits.
