Do you like to box? Do you box professionally or just for health and fitness? Boxing is not just a contact sport where you hit another person senseless till you knock him down on the mat. Boxing requires a lot of stamina, strength, and skill. But not only that you also need the right equipment. It doesn’t matter what the reasons you have for boxing, the bottom line is if you don’t have the right equipment, you could be putting yourself in danger of getting seriously hurt. Before we talk about the kinds of equipment to purchase, it would be advisable to go over what types of equipment is normally used in the ring when boxing.
· Hand Wraps: Typically used to avoid hand injuries.
· Boxing Gloves: These are used in the ring as support for the hands and to prevent serious injury while striking.
· Mouthpiece: Used to protect the teeth while boxing.
· Boxing Shoes: These are almost like sneakers, but are used to better support the ankles.
· Headgear: Helps to reduce eye injuries while boxing in the ring.
