Your body needs a certain amount of fat to protect the cells in your body and to stay healthy and be able to perform at your ultimate best. However, as you know, too much fat can backfire and cause may health-related issues.

According to general guidelines established by most doctors and nutritionist, the average body fat for men cannot be more than 25 percent of their height and ideal body weight. For women, the percentage can only be 30 percent.
