There is so much you can do with GIS. It is not just a mapping program. It can help solve problems and help you analyze locations so you can make the correct choices to get to that location. When you get into using GIS, you’ll see how amazing it is and will gain a deeper understanding as to why they were installed in vehicles. Here are things you can do with GIS:

·        Locate things by mapping: Use GIS to locate places quickly, and get the required information to get there. Users also use GIS to find a certain landmark, and pierce inside the spot they find more closely.
·        Map Quantities: This is a tool when doing marketing. Because when a certain company is looking to enter a market, they can map it out to see who the majority of their customers will be. This way they can come up with a promotion plan to fit that geographic system.
·        Map Densities: When you are trying to view a certain area for a particular reason or function, sometimes it may be hard because of overlapping areas that are very close by. By using a density map, you can pinpoint with better accuracy the area you are trying to look at.
·        What is inside something: What if you wanted to know what was inside a certain area or you had to monitor an area for a reason? You can use a GIS to get a better look at what you need to see.
·        Map change: This is very important to governments like meteorologist to help track major storms. By mapping a certain area over a period of time they can predict future paths for any more storms that may appear.
