Can door chimes provide security?

It may be hard to believe but some door chimes can prove to be a security measure. It is not going to prevent break ins but some wireless chimes do have sensors which can detect movement and can also include counters which keeps figures on how many times someone opens and closes a door. If someone has had unauthorised access then this could give you an idea of where and when. Bigger companies will not be aware of this but smaller business with maybe only one employee for example will be more effective.

 

If you would prefer to spend a little more for a chime, you can purchase chimes that provide an alert mode – this is a localised alarm and a spoken warning if the detection beam is broken.
