The Nile

The Nile is known as the Father of Rivers and it is one natural feature that completes Egypt. It flows from as far a field as Ethiopia and flows north for 960 miles which subsequently empties in the Mediterranean Sea and supplies all necessary water for Egypt and the locals that reside in the country.

The river is well known and is considered one of the greatest rivers throughout the known world, whilst it isn’t the largest, it is the most famous and many holidaymakers love to take the opportunity to travel down this piece of ancient history.

Due to its immense size the Nile Valley has been classed for many years as two regions – Upper Egypt which flows south of Cairo to the border of Sudanese and then there is Lower Egypt which flows to Nile Delta and starts at the North of Cairo.
