One exhibit that makes an unusual day out is by seeing the Dahla Oasis in Al Qasr. The town of Mut is the centre of an Oasis and is located on a beautiful hillside when you will see many historic and medieval structures that were built centuries ago and with the winding streets, it will bring the ancient past to modern day living.

With a population of just 700 people today, you will found the small town of Al-Qasr at the foot of the limestone cliffs and with the mosque that dates back to the Ayyubid period, you will be surprised that this historic building dates back to around 924 AD. The local madrass has been recently renovated and along with an older house dating back to around the same period 924 AD, you will certainly be surprised to see how these monuments stood the test of time.

If you want to visit, I do recommend doing so because there is a variety of restaurants and cafes available as well and overall this is one place where you could either sit back and have a picnic whilst catching some rays or why not let someone else do the work and enjoy a pleasant meal with the family.
