The Galapagos Islands are located over 600 miles west of the mainland in the Pacific Ocean. The climate in the Galapagos Islands is extremely pleasant, and the Islands experience a surprisingly small amount of rain, making it one of the most ideal tourist locations in all of South America. This area was made famous by Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of Species.”
