As stated above, META tags are so important in a web page because it allows the search engine the ability to categorize and rank your website in search engine results pages. They use a robot to index your site and they look at META tags as a way to do it.

 

The two most important META Tags are:

 

·        Keyword META tags – Here is where you should list all the keywords that are contained on all the pages of your website. This number can be determined by what is on your web pages. Some people have twenty to thirty or others have more. Just put down what you think covers your entire website.

·        META Description tags – Here is where you put a brief description about your web page. This is where you write your description in sentence form.
