Have you or someone you know ever experienced giddiness, noises in the ear, headaches, digestive upsets, lethargy, and trembling and not known what is causing all of these? It is the very thing that about 20 percent of adults worldwide and 5 percent of children suffer from. You might have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. It is known as the “silent killer” because it usually has no symptoms, yet it can lead to life-threatening problems if it is left untreated. While it is not technically a “disease”, it is a significant risk factor for many other health complications such as heart attacks, stroke and kidney disease.
