With Helmet: Motocross straps are designed to be used with an approved motocross helmet. The straps adjust great lengths to go over the exterior of the helmet and stay in place. The motocross goggles only need to be removed from the helmet for cleaning and or storage. The motocross goggles can be put on by the rider in two ways. They could first be put on the helmet and the rider could then put the helmet on his/her head or the rider could put the goggles around his/her neck, put the helmet on his/her head and then put the goggles onto the helmet. This is simply a matter of preference.
Motocross helmets have a built in visor that helps block the sun from the rider’s eyes and keeps the goggles, as well as his/her head, in place.

Without a Helmet: It is not advised to operate motocross equipment without the use of a helmet. However, motocross goggles are designed in such a way that it is not necessary to wear a helmet to operate the goggles. You should consider that goggles will in no way keep your brain inside of your head without a helmet in case of an accident.

Who Should Use: Anyone operating a motocross vehicle should wear motocross goggles. Whether racing professionally or just recreationally on dirt, sand, mud, asphalt, snow or ice, day or night, all riders should wear motocross goggles meeting the standards set herein.
