Sometimes cost can be an issue but you need to decide from the beginning whether to go directly to a dealership or look for a second hand bike.
There are benefits attached to both and that is why you need to make that decision immediately.
With new bikes, you have the comfort of knowing that if something does go wrong there is the warranty to cover for any necessary repairs. Obviously with a second hand purchase this is a luxury not always available to buyers.
However, it has been known with second hand purchases you can pick up a real bargain if you know what to look for and it has been the case where a second hand bike has overall lasted longer than purchasing a new one. It can happen if you search carefully and thoroughly.
If you are uncertain of which to purchase, you need to ask yourself, can I buy a new dirt bike without putting me in the red? You don’t want to spend thousands on a bike that could put your credit rating at risk if on a repayment scheme, another factor is you are going to be paying more in interest repayments and may not be worth it for a bike used perhaps once in a blue moon. The main question is can you afford about $8000 for such an item. If not then buy second hand but choose wisely.
