Many people look forward to the day they can remove their china from a box in the basement to be fittingly displayed in a china cabinet. China cabinets can become an heirloom by themselves, passed on from generation to generation. They also are a beautiful backdrop to display and protect cherished keepsakes.
China cabinets typically consist of a lower portion with solid doors that open to reveal shelves for storage. The top portion usually has glass doors to display special items. Some, however, are entirely glass, top and bottom. They also may include drawers for storage of other dining accessories such as flatware and table linens.
