A buffet and hutch combination is exactly what the name suggests. It is a long buffet style piece with a hutch that sits on top of it. The hutch makes the piece of furniture much taller and can sometimes cover an entire wall. The hutch adds height and allows for more shelving, cabinets, or even glass doors that allow you to view what is inside of the hutch. 

This buffet offers storage space with a few drawers and also has open shelves that are easily accessible. This buffet is used less for storage and more for displaying items on the open shelves.
