The heart of any digital camera is the power that supplies it. Without power the digital camera will not work. Digital camera batteries come in various types. However, if you are in the position where you need to replace the battery you have, you better consult your camera’s owners manual. This will give specifics as to what type of battery your digital camera uses. But if you do not have a user manual handy there are some types of batteries that are common to use. These batteries include:

• NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride): If you haven’t seen yet, you will when you replace your batteries, that they take AA batteries. The best types of AA batteries are the NiMH battery.
• Lilon (Lithium Ion): Lilon batteries are being used more and more in digital cameras. They last much longer than NiMH batteries and don’t lose their charge as quickly while being stored.
