It would be a great thing if your digital video camera had the ability to increase its efficiency through the use of accessories. If you camera is a typical video camera, it should have an accessories mounting spot. If you are not sure what they look like, just take a look at an external flash unit. You can use this mounting spot for external lights, microphones, and other attachments. Also, make sure your camera has a speaker so you can listen to the audio portion on playback so you can hear what is going on.

Also make sure your camera has a batter indicator attached to it or built-in. If you don’t, you are looking for trouble. Because if you don’t and you are in no mans land and you decide to shoot a scene; suddenly your camera stops working, well you’ll feel like an idiot for not checking the battery. This is why having a battery indicator is important. This way you can keep track of your battery’s voltage condition.
