Denmark is a beautiful country that is another ideal place to visit for hardcore history fans and whilst it does have great events to talk about, many famous people come from this area and made many great advancements to the world as we know it.
It is the smallest of all the Scandinavian nations and it was during the 9th century that the name Denmark was used for the first time. Even today, Denmark is heavily influenced by German culture because in some areas, the Danish and German communities share borders in the south.
Denmark today is very balanced in terms of their economy and their wealth was made through importing and exporting of goods, mainly through farming. High taxes are in place, it is very organised in terms of the welfare and social services facilities in the nation.
Locals from Denmark and other Scandinavian nations are said to be very friendly and upon the first meeting, they may seem very reserved but the hospitality they have to offer a visitor is extreme and they do make very friendly people to be around.
Living in the area and similar places is generally quite expensive and despite its extreme beauty, I would not consider living unless you were certain that your wallet and lifestyle could handle it because the average family would need $30,000 income just to survive. Taxes are higher than most countries and the economy has only started to improve since 1980.
