Delaware may boast that it was the first of the states to ratify the Constitution, and so their motto is ‘It’s good to be first’. True to the character of their Colonial roots, Delawareans show a great deal of pluck. This has translated from battlefield tenacity into a dauntless economic vigor and civic strength. Hailing from the original Swedish and Dutch roots and the sprinkled liberally with an influx of European and Eastern European immigrants, Delaware has enjoyed a varied past and a thriving present. From the beaches in the south to the industry and financial powerhouses in the north, Delaware remains a place of interest, history, culture and economic savvy.
