The “Mile-High City” of Denver, Colorado is aptly nicknamed, as its official elevation in one statute mile, 5,280 feet, above sea level. Both the city of Denver and the county share the same borders, and have a land mass of 154.63 square miles. Denver is the largest city and county in the state of Colorado.
The Denver Metro area, or Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area, makes up the ten-county region surrounding Denver and Aurora. It includes the counties of:
