Why is it that so many colleges and universities boast of over at least 200 clubs and other organizations in which students can become involved on campus? Why is it that the students who get involved on campus seem to be the ones who get most plugged in to the school? There are many benefits of finding a niche on campus which you can fill, many of which are benefits for you, the student. Getting involved can:

• Provide ways for you to meet new people.
• Help you develop your leadership skills.
• Build self-esteem and self-confidence.
• Develops your interpersonal skills.
• Give you a sense of belonging.
• Teach you responsibility.
• Assist you in accomplishing personal goals.
• Improve your resume.

However, getting involved is also not just about you; while these benefits are great, you can also know that participating in organizations on campus can also be a way for you to make a difference. If this is something that you are looking for, opportunities abound.
