Some people grow up knowing exactly where they want to get their degree. However, there are many others who get to the point when it’s time to start choosing a school, and they just aren’t sure. How many schools should you consider?

If you aren’t positive about one specific place, it’s usually a good idea to have a list of possibilities; that way you can compare and contrast the atmosphere of several different schools. When you’re first starting out and just listing options, it’s ok to have a page full. However, once you start really researching and possibly applying, it’s usually good to stick to about five colleges or fewer. Otherwise you may begin to feel very overwhelmed.
