Coin Folders

While coin holders allow you to display one or two of your favorite coins, coin folders are the best way to store and organize entire sets of coins. For as little as two dollars, you can purchase coin folders with precut slots for your coins.

Many coin folders are made for specific sets of coins. These folders are labeled, have slots of the correct size, and often come with information on the enclosed coins. For example, you could buy a Lincoln penny folder, which has slots for an example of a Lincoln penny from each year, or a State Quarters folder that has a designated and labeled spot for each of the fifty state quarters. With these coin folders, you can monitor your progress towards completing a set.

Many coin folders have three folds, and most are made of cardboard. In any case, the drawback of coin folders is that after you slip coins into the folder, you can only see one side of the coin. If you want to see the front and rear of your coins, you will need to purchase coin albums or individual coin holders.
