Tea Storage

Tea should be stored away from sunlight in an airtight container. Many loose-leaf tea manufacturers use metal canisters that have a tight sealed lid. When properly stored, tea can stay fresh up to six months. Tea can easily pick up other smells, so reusing an old container with another type of food scent is not a good idea. Storing tea bags or loose leaves in the refrigerator is also not recommended.
