Big wall climbing may initially seem like a lot to learn because you have to know how to distribute weight properly and about necessary safety issues which could arise when outdoors.
If you are a beginner then I do strongly suggest booking lessons with a professional instructor first because if anything, it will built up overall confidence to succeed and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It is not as difficult as it looks.
When tackling a large wall or cliff outdoors then it is vital to never do it alone. Not many accidents do occur but if it was to happen then being alone could be a major problem. Always tell family and friends where you are going and take adequate communication facilities with you should the worst happen and you need to contact someone.
Never give up with learning to wall climb but when you reach a professional level, taking part in such an activity can be breathtaking and can help people that may be afraid of heights at the same time. If you are unsure of anything then always seek professional advice because they were beginners themselves once and worked their way up to their status.
Have fun and remember if you are scared of heights, don’t look down!
