If you like to shop, then head over to Huai Hai Road. This road was built in 1901 to commemorate the Huai Hai Battle during Liberation. It is now a busy section of road that is home to more than 400 shops, restaurants, and businesses. It is close to Memorial Hall and Doctor Sun Yat-sen Former Residence.

Whenever you decide to stop for lunch, make sure you stop at The Grape. It’s a favorite among the locals and the service is always great. Some of their specialties include: Tie Ban Niu Rou (a sizzling plate of Mexican fajitas), Gu Lao Rou (sweet and sour pork), and Gong Bao Ji Ding (chicken with peanuts and chili peppers).

Another beautiful attraction in Shanghai is the People’s Square (Renmin Guang Chang). This urban park contains manicured greenery and is surrounded by government buildings. In the center of the square is the beautiful Shanghai Museum. The Square also features a 320-square meter water fountain, an underground shopping mall, and a subway. Kites are available for approximately CNY15.
