The Feng Tai district is located southwest of the Forbidden City. It is primarily industrial, but tourist sites include the China Space Museum, Feng Tai Park, and the Marco Polo Bridge.
The northwestern portion of Beijing is known as the Hai Dian district. It is home to Beijing and Qinghua Universities, meaning a large population of students and the subsequent inexpensive bars and restaurants. The area is also the city’s technology hub, with several high-tech and Internet companies headquartered here.
