Spend the day in Torres del Paine National Park, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve. This national park stretches out over 180.000 hectares on the Last Hope Inlet, and is found only 150 kilometers from Puerto Natales. It is enclosed by enormous, rocky mountains, including the renowned Paine Horns.
In this park, you will observe nature at its finest where enormous rock towers and horn-shaped summits of granite and stone, extend 3,000 meters above the sea level. Enjoy one of the many hiking paths that travel over greatly diverse types of terrain, such as dense Magellanic forests and pampas, and travel past lakes bursting with enormous icebergs and glaciers. Do not forget to explore Grey Lake.
If you have time, go mountain climbing, fishing, or horseback riding. Spend the night at Torres del Paine in one of their refugios or at the Hosteria Las Torres. If you are feeling energetic, there is a magnificent walk from the hotel to the bottom of the spectacular granite towers (torres) from which the park derives its name.
