The island of Barbados has an area of 267 square miles and is the easternmost island in the Caribbean. Its population is about 260,000. Barbados has 60 miles of beaches, so many visitors spend most of their time at the beach participating in water sports or beach activities, or just relaxing and soaking up the abundant sunshine.

Barbados offers plenty of island tours and many different vehicles for your tour. An electric tram will take you underground where you can see some amazing caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Or you can take a helicopter tour and view the island from the sky. There are underwater tours where you can see the colorful marine life, and on-the-water journeys that allow you to view the beautiful coastline during the day or after dark. If you want to explore inland, you can take a bus tour and relax in the air-conditioning, or you can visit some portions of the island on horseback or take a safari by land-rover into the rain forest. You can even take a guided hike or a mountain bike ride through the countryside.

Barbados boasts a vibrant night life filled with clubs and shows. You can enjoy a dinner-show or a sunset cruise for romance. If you are looking for a party, visit one of the many jazz clubs, pubs, bars, theatres, or sports bars on the island. You can take the family to a drive-in movie or a show. Or check out the live bands and dance the night away at a reggae club, nightclub, Latin party, or beach bar. Some bars are even open 24 hours a day.

If you’re looking for a vibrant tropical vacation, pack your bags and head to Barbados.
