If you are one of those people who would run race slicks on the streets if it were legal, there are street tires that come close. Ultra high performance tires feature tread made from a super soft, super grip rubber.

But a tire this close to race specifications has its drawbacks on the street. They are not designed for optimum wet weather handling and you do have to sacrifice comfort in your ride. These tires don't last very long either, but if you are looking for the ultimate in cornering ability, the tradeoff is worth it.
