Start off your morning with a trip to the Casa do Pontal. This museum is dedicated to Brazilian folk art and has around 5,000 sculptures from more than 200 artists. The International Council of Museums considers it an anthropological museum largely because the artwork reflects so many aspects of Brazilian life and culture. There is also a garden on site, which displays several different species of flora and fauna. Guided tours are offered in four languages. The museum also has a bookstore and a coffee shop. Admission is BRR5.

Lunch today can be eaten at Olivier Cozan, a charming French bistro with both contemporary and classic creations. You can dine on anything from Croque Monsieurs to Magret de Canard in this colorful, light and airy restaurant. Above the bistro is an elegant French restaurant specializing in haute cuisine.

After lunch, head out to the world-famous Copacabana. There are several restaurants along the beach where you can sit and enjoy a batida or caipirinha, or you could take a walk along the famous Burle Marx designed sidewalks. Be forewarned that the popularity of the Copacabana makes it difficult to find a spot on the sand in the summer and that the currents are deceptively strong.

Have dinner tonight at Marius. Dine on juicy steak while you enjoy the interesting décor looking over the Lema Beach. Steak is not the only option though. Marius offers more than 30 grilled meat dishes. There is also a delicious salad bar and a variety of fresh fish to choose from.
