Spend today shopping and laying by the beach at Sao Conrado. This area is equipped with a sophisticated shopping center, a gold club, elegant buildings, and a great beach, which is a trendy hangout for surfers. Hang gliders and daredevils abound is this district, which interestingly enough is situated next to Favela de Rocinha, Brazil’s largest shanty town.

If you need a change of scenery while your sunbathing, check out Leblon. This beach is home to some of the most chic clubs, restaurants, and boutiques in all of Rio. It is located right next to Ipanema and is a trendier beach than the Copacabana.
