» Amenities/Services
There are some amenities and services that generally come standard, and, like anything else, there are many bells and whistles you can add.
· Included: The price for most fishing guides includes all your equipment (rod, reel, tackle, etc.), your fishing license for the day, instruction and assistance from the guide, and the allowance to keep any of the legal fish you catch. Most also include a guided tour as you go, and many provide soft drinks.
· Not Included: Most charters require that you provide your own food for the day, as well as sunscreen, hats and any rain gear. Tipping the guide is also common practice, and tips are not included in the price you pay. Generally, tips range from 10% to 20%, depending on the amount and quality of services provided.
· Additional Items: Often the fishing guide will give an actual fishing lesson on the charter, for an additional cost. Many guides offer the opportunity to stay at their campsite or resort, to upgrade the equipment or tackle you are using, for extended sightseeing tours, and even to add a hunting element to your trip. Each guide offers unique options that are specific to the area in which they serve.
