Pontoon boats are know for their luxuriousness, deck boats are known for their maneuverability and both types of boats are known for providing liberal amounts of space, so putting the layout of a pontoon boat on the hull of a deck boat should, in theory, give you the best of the worlds.

America’s growing desire to get back in touch with nature and spend more quality time with family and friends has led to an increase in the popularity of deck boats.

Deck boats feature a one-level deck throughout and often rails or gunnels all around, all built on a performance hull. A multi-purpose craft that serves anglers, swimmers, sunbathers, evening social cruisers, and people at the dock. These are stable craft. A number of guests will find room to enjoy being aboard; six people on smaller versions, eight to ten on larger ones. Some have small cabins. Most deck boats are often outboard powered, though some feature stern drives. Deck boats range in price from the mid-teens to upper-20s.
