When out on the water, it is important to keep your eye on the time whilst out in your boat because it will help you work out when the sun will set and other elements that could overall affect the trip.

Like in the military, time is measured identically. After 12 noon, it will go to 1300 and so on. Keeping a watch to hand at all times is essential because it will be needed at all times, never leave home without one. Whilst navigating, get someone else to keep track of time but before setting off, check the weather conditions for the day – could it get dark earlier? And know the exact time the sun will set in your chosen location, getting caught off guard will certainly cause problems.
