With any boating trip you may have planned, knowing exactly where you are going is important to prevent any problems arising.

There are various methods for navigating your trip and it is best to plan as far ahead as possible so the excursion can be enjoyed to its full extent. Always be certain of your route and I strongly suggest that if you don’t feel comfortable with a certain route for any reason, then don’t use it.

Like with driving a car, there are rules and regulations for navigating that you need to adhere to, they are classed as “rules of the road” and knowing all laws for a particular state and ocean is vital because there can be large penalties if you don’t stick to legal use. The safeties of the entire group are of the up most importance and always remember to ride with care.

Rules are there for a reason and bear in mind that considering the safety of everyone in the group is vital because major problems could occur if the regulations are not followed and fines or worse could follow should a coastguard be on watch.
