A regular Internet search engine such as Google or Yahoo is designed to help the Internet user find web pages about specific things. You simply type in the words of interest and anywhere from 1 to over 10 million pages appear for you to peruse. A blog search engine operates in much the same way, with the difference being that instead of searching all existing web pages available, it limits the search only to blogs with the words of choice. There are many blog search engines available on the world wide web, with the major players being Google blog search, Technorati, and Feedster, to name just a few.
