How do I get started?

It’s easy! The best way to get started is provide food for the birds. You can just grab a piece of scrap wood and put some holes in it for drainage. Set the wood up off the ground and spread seeds on it. Very soon you will see birds enjoying their feast! If it takes longer than you like, make sure you are providing sunflower seeds (a favorite). You may also want to wrap some tin foil around the top of your feeder hanger. The reflected light may readily attract birds quicker. If that doesn’t work, try moving your feeder. Consider a tree in your yard where you have seen birds light.

It’s a pretty sure bet that once you take that small step and see the birds arrive, you will begin to look at manufactured bird feeders.
