● Grote Markt/Grand Place: Brussels' central market square, Grand Place, has been called the best market square in Europe. The square is surrounded by Renaissance buildings and is home to Brussels' Town Hall. The architecture at Grand Place is exquisite. It's a busy market, filled with shopping and cultural opportunities, and is even more beautiful at night when it is flooded with lights. Don't miss the spectacular light show, accompanied by classical music, in the evenings from April to September.

● The Atomium: In 1958, this building was constructed for the World Fair. The building's design represents a molecule's nine atoms magnified 165 billion times. The nine spheres of the atom are connected by escalators. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Brussels from here. The Atomium was recently renovated and reopened in February of 2006.

● The Manneken Pis: This world famous statue is located near Grand Place on the corner of Eikstraat and Stoffstraat. Interestingly, the statue of the boy is often dressed; he has a wardrobe of over 600 costumes! Manneken Pis is a comical statue that has been amusing tourists for many years.

● The Belgian Comic Strip Centre: The comic strip is a famous art form in Belgium, and this Centre presents the strips in an Art Nouveau Setting. Here tourists can explore the history of Belgium's comic strip heroes and shop for comic books and toys.

● Bruparck: Located near the Heysel train station is this reconstructed Belgian village. Several cafes and restaurants allow visitors to come and spend the day here. There is an indoor swimming complex, Océade Océade, with a tropical beach. Also popular is the Kinepolis, one of the largest movie complexes in Europe. The Kinepolis boasts 24 theaters and an IMAX screen.
