Queen Bed vs. Full Bed

·        Again, let’s begin with our comparison of how much room a sleeper has in a twin bed, which is 39”. That being said, it is a rare thing to find couples that are happy sharing a Full Bed (also known as a Double Bed). The dimensions of a Full Bed are 54” x 75”. It is very important to also note that a Full Bed is a “full” five inches shorter than a Queen Bed and this can make it not only a tight fit in width, but an uncomfortable option in length as well. All of this is true of course if we are talking about the bed being occupied by two sleepers and not one sleeper alone. A single sleeper can enjoy a Full Bed quite comfortably. But with two sleepers, each sleeper will only have 27” of width to roll around in and that means there won’t be much rolling at all. That is a full 12” less for each sleeper than if each were sleeping in individual twin beds. With that in mind, if you are filling a guest room with beds in order to prepare for a lot of guests, you might want to think long and hard about using a Queen Bed or Twin Beds instead of a Full Bed for your “full house!”
