What is a featherbed?

A featherbed is an extra layer of cushion that is put directly on top of your existing mattress. It adds a new layer of insulation underneath you that blankets just cannot provide. They also make your bed feel warmer. They are extremely comfortable and provide a “sinking into bed” sensation that everyone longs for when they lay down!
