» Day Bed Uses
The wonderful appeal of a day bed is the variety of uses it offers. A day bed will probably be the most functional piece of furniture you own. If space is an issue in your home this will be especially true. The following are the different ways a day bed can be used:
· Children’s Bed: Day beds are excellent for children for a few different reasons. One being that they can grow with your child. A day bed isn’t a bed that your child will outgrow as they go through adolescence or the teen years. Another reason day beds are great for kids rooms is the option for a trundle bed. This gives a child a place for a friend to sleep with out taking up space in his or her bedroom permanently the way a larger bed would.
· Bed: A day bed is perfect for any guest room or room that may double as a guest room. When used as a guest bed, day beds are perfect because they can be used for one guest or multiple guests.
· Couch: Day beds are often used as couches. Many people purchase couches with pull out beds to be used for company. Day beds can offer that same option but with a difference that can be summed up in one word Comfort. If you’ve ever slept on a pull out couch you know that often times your back pays for it the next day. Using a day bed in place of a pull out couch provides a place to sit as well as somewhere that your guests can get a relaxing good night sleep.
· Bed/Couch: If space is an issue for you a day bed might be your best option. A day bed can be both a couch and a bed all in one. Many one room apartments also known as a studio do not provide enough room for a bed, couch and other furniture so you have to be inventive with your furniture choices. A day bed is a fantastic way to do just that.
