The London Exhibition of 1851 opened up the bedroom doors of one of the world’s most famous ladies, Queen Victoria, and almost instantaneously started a new craze: brass beds. It took a few years for one to America’s foremost bed makers, Charles P. Rogers, to introduce the product to the West, but the popularity of brass beds did not slow down. And now in the twenty-first century, brass beds still represent elegance and luxury. Countless inns scattered across the globe boast of having romantic rooms featuring brass beds.
