» Is it okay to use a sauna after I work out?
Probably the most redeeming aspect of sauna use is the relaxing benefits for muscles. Nothing feels better after an intense workout than taking a warm shower and then sitting in a sauna. Not only does the time in the sauna assist in bringing down one’s heart rate after a workout, but it also helps the body sweat out toxins in the muscles.
Throughout the day and work week one’s muscles gather toxins which cause tension and can ultimately lead to fatigue, back and neck pain, migraine, and high blood pressure. Lifting weights along with consistent cardiovascular activity are great ways of releasing stress. Following up an intense workout with a sweat bath allows the body time to come down from the endorphin high accompanied with the workout as well as lower blood one’s blood pressure.
Adding a sweat bath to one’s workout will garner excellent health benefits as well as give some down time to the day.
