Nine month old babies can reach for toys. They will drop objects and then look for them. They have now become interested in grabbing the spoon or fork while they are being fed. They can go from laying on their tummies to a sitting position by themselves. They can pick up tiny objects, and they can start to identify themselves in a mirror.
