Home » Austin » Short Austin Itinerary » Day 2• For a day of fun for you and the kids then you must pay a visit to Austin’s Park which can be found just 15 miles north of downtown Austin and with over 22 acres of fun there is a wide range of activities from miniature golf to a race of the go karts, a game of Laser Tag which is ideal for the whole family or you would prefer something a little more adventurous then why not have a go on the climbing wall and see if you can make it to the top. As the name says, you can also enjoy plenty of pizza included in the price and for just $24.95 each the Entire Park Package includes an all you can eat buffet, admission to the park and unlimited access to all the rides and for the kids endless games in the video arcade. The opening hours will vary daily but it is open seven days a week and times may change as a result of special events. Opening Hours: Sunday 11am – 10pm, Monday – Thursday 1pm to 10pm, Friday 1pm – 11pm and Saturday 11am – 11pm.
If you want a break from the norm and enjoy cuisine that is slightly different and with a hint of Mexican taste then you must pay a visit to The Oasis on Lake Travis. You can enjoy a range of salads and traditional American cuisine if you would prefer then this is available but there are many great typical Mexican choices such as Fish Tacos (Blackened Tilapia with diced tomatoes and chili lime sauce) or perhaps a choice of excellent fajitas served with guacamole, black beans and salsa sauce – these prove to be suitable for vegetarians and prices range from $6 for starters and around $11 to $35 for main courses but the higher price is enough of a portion to feed two people.
The restaurant is located 450 feet above Lake Travis and you can sit on one of the forty outdoor decks or inside if you would prefer with beautiful views overlooking the Texas Hill Country and most importantly Lake Travis – just in time to enjoy the sunset in the early evening whilst enjoying a great meal. Times will vary in the low season but Monday – Thursday is 11.30am – 10pm, Friday 11.30am – 11pm, Saturday 11am – 11pm and Sunday 11am – 10pm.
