John is the CEO and originator of the idea for Beginner's Guide. He has had multiple business successes over the past 9 years starting with a quiz bowl preparation company he created while he was a freshman in college. John is a board certified Family Practice Physician, but doesn't practice medicine. During his residency, John also sharpened his entrepreneurial skills by creating several online retail companies with his brother Charlie. These companies quickly outgrew the brothers' basements, and are now a rapidly growing multi-million dollar niche retail group featuring industry leading brands such as Saferacer.com and Scrubshopper.com.

Content Development
Steve is responsible for the overall strategy and content development. He also serves as the Founder/CEO of Cornerstone Coaching. In the last two decades has often been referred to as a business and life Sherpa to some of the most successful senior leaders in today's ministry and business landscape.

Graves is the co-author of nearly a dozen books on leadership, business and the emerging faith/work movement. He was the co-creator of Life@Work which is now part of John Maxwell's Injoy company. In the last decade he has become very intentional about growing "next generational" leaders. He speaks regularly, sits on several boards and sneaks off to go fishing as often as he can.

We live in a search society. Curios George dwells in all of us. Admittedly, some of our curiosity serves no real purpose. It is more snooping than probing. However, there is another component of the mental search engine sitting on top our shoulders that desperately needs information. Like Newbie we peak over the fence and want to know. BeginnersGuide.com is hiring free lance writers to create a series of simple yet practical iBriefs and iBooklets. There are thousands of topics available to select from.

iBriefs(TM)

An iBrief is a 1250-1500 word eArticle that is constructed around 5-7 subtopics. These sub-topics can be constructed around a Q/A format or a series of statements. The compensation is $50.00.

iBooklets(TM)

An iBooklet is a grouping of topics that cluster together to form a string of iBriefs that are organized in such way that they could be packaged into one single unit. However, they are written in such a way as to stand alone as separate topics also. The compensation is:

• 5 grouped articles at 6,250 - 7500 words - $300.00

• 12 grouped articles at 15,000 - 18,000 words - $750.00

• 20 grouped articles at 25,000 - 30,000 words - $1350

• 35 grouped articles at 43,750 - 50,000 words - $2,500

• $50 for a writer referral that works out.

• $100 for 50 articles in one month.
  

General Guidelines for iBriefs:

• The writing style is straightforward, informative and simple. Not overly academic.
• The audience includes those interested in a quick introduction to a topic.
• Quick web research generates a lot of generic information on each topic.
• Each completed article will contain 4 to 7 sub-topics.
• Always start with a topic overview that frames or defined the topic.
• Outline the article against questions or statements that a curious person would like to have answered on that topic. You will need to create these questions or statements from the research you have done.
• Be sure to repeat the "topic term" throughout the articles.
• The goal is to be instructional and informational.
• Reference sources either in the copy or at the end of the article. No footnotes please.
• The final product needs to be ready to go into print. There will not be another editing step.
• It is important to follow the standardized formatting. See the samples for the format.
• Humor when possible.
• This must be original content. Be careful not to plagiarize.
• The article must be 1250-1500 words in length.
• Use Microsoft Word.
• Use ARIAL font at 14 pts.
• Writers must reserve their choices and have confirmation before writing.
• Pay cycle every two weeks.
